Samsung has announced the details of its next Unpacked event. On Wednesday, February 25, the company will officially reveal "what's joining the Galaxy ecosystem." We know it's a flagship smartphone, of course, likely the much-rumored Galaxy S26 family.

The event will be livestreamed from San Francisco. Android Faithful will be there in person, reporting on Samsung's latest announcements. You can watch along when it kicks off on the company's official YouTube channel at 10 AM PT/1 PM ET.

Galaxy S26: The return of the curve

This year, Samsung's Galaxy S26 flagship family will undergo a fairly iterative update, though there's hope the company has addressed the issues it overlooked with the Galaxy S25. Although the Ultra variant's overall design received a major revamp last year, this generation's major selling point will be its "intentional" ergonomics. Samsung will revive its legacy curved chassis to make the Ultra variant more comfortable to hold, with rumors suggesting more rounded edges and a thickness of only 7.9mm, compared to the Galaxy S25 Ultra's 8.2mm.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra is rumored to weigh about 4 grams less than its predecessor. The S Pen is also part of the ergonomic revamp, getting a more finger-friendly redesign and a diagonal tip, which would make the stylus feel even more like a pen.

Other features to look forward to include a privacy screen on the Galaxy S26 Ultra and a jump to 60W charging, which was a major omission from last year's Galaxy S25 Ultra. Qi2 wireless charging is also expected, though without magnets. There will likely be plenty of third parties offering it, though. It would be helpful to see Samsung offer it as well.

The Galaxy S26 camera will be better, even if its camera bump protrudes more than previous models. Samsung is reportedly moving away from oversaturated, post-produced algorithms and letting the camera be free and natural. Samsung's Galaxy devices will compete head-to-head with the pro-photography camera angle that both Apple and Google have been pushing in their respective lineups. Samsung is also enhancing its night-time photography algorithms by including a larger aperture in the Galaxy S26 Ultra's main sensor.

The rest of the Galaxy S26 family

Despite months of rumors to the contrary, there will be no specific Galaxy S25 "Slim" or "Pro." Instead, we'll see the same lineup of three from Samsung's flagship family: The Galaxy S26, the Galaxy S26 Plus+, and the Galaxy S26 Ultra.

The first two Galaxy S26 models are typically cheaper than the Ultra. They won't have the Ultra's camera specifications, though they will have improved telephoto sensors. The smaller Galaxy S26 is still compact, though it's getting a screen bump to 6.3 inches. The Galaxy S26+ will remain the "middle child" with its 6.7-inch display. It will also be the thinnest since it doesn't need to accommodate a stylus like the Galaxy S26 Ultra.

More details about the new Samsung Galaxy smartphones will be revealed at Unpacked. We'll cover all announcements as they happen. If you can't wait for the specifications list, you can take advantage of the Samsung store's official pre-order offer, which runs now through the event.
